Abstract

Epic Apex Trader is a self-hostable, API-first multi-asset trading desk. It unifies market data, charts, risk controls, optional wallet funding, and bring-your-own-keys (BYOK) execution against third-party venues you choose. It is software infrastructure—not a broker-dealer.

Motivation

Operators and traders need sovereign control of strategy, state, and credentials. Epic Apex Trader provides a professional multi-venue desk with clear isolation, encryption, and deployment paths for local Docker and public cloud.

Architecture

• **API:** authentication, desk snapshot, orders, charts, legal documents, BYOK
• **Worker:** periodic autopilot execution
• **Database:** users, encrypted credentials, audit records
• **Tenant state:** per-user portfolio, wallet, journal, and autopilot settings

Isolation model

Authenticated users receive a private engine context and isolated on-disk state. Guests use the platform desk only. Venue credentials are encrypted per user and are never shared across tenants.

Execution model

1. Paper mode when forced

2. Live multi-venue broker when stocks and/or crypto API credentials resolve

3. Desk wallet broker when funded wallet capital is available

Security

• Secrets excluded from source control
